Credits and shares are fictional and have no cash value. They cannot be bought, deposited, sold, transferred, withdrawn, redeemed, awarded as prizes, or exchanged for money, cryptocurrency, goods, services, or anything else of value. Leaderboard placement creates no right to payment or a prize.
Use the service fairly
- Use only accounts you are authorized to access; do not impersonate or compromise another person.
- Limit yourself to one Phonymarket account. If we reasonably suspect that you are using multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage or otherwise abuse the service, we may suspend or terminate the accounts involved.
- Do not harass people, publish private information, manipulate participation, or evade rate limits.
- Do not interfere with or probe the service without authorization.
- Do not break the law or help someone else do so.
Markets and resolution
Open markets only about material you have the right to share. Anyone signed in can open a market, and the text you write is public the moment it opens. Nothing is reviewed beforehand, and each account can open ten markets per hour, counted in fixed hour-long blocks rather than a rolling hour, so the count starts over when the next block begins. A market that breaks these rules is dealt with after it appears: a moderator can void it, which reverses every trade in it.
Published resolution criteria control the outcome. Percentages are estimates, not promises. Bugs, outages, conflicting evidence, or unverifiable outcomes may cause an open market to be voided. A void reverses the net credit effect of every trade in that market using new records, and the original trade history is kept.
Availability and changes
Phonymarket may change, pause, or discontinue features and does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Do not rely on it for financial decisions.
Discord, X, linked sources, and other third-party services operate under their own terms. Material revisions to these terms will be posted here with an updated date.
